Do not allow horses or other equines access to formulations containing Monensin. ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin has been fatal to cattle and could be fatal to goats. Monensin medicated feed is intented for use in cattle or goats. Consumptions by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not exceed th levels of Monensin recommended in the feeding directions, as reduced daily gains may result. For control of coccidiosis during an outbreak, medications with monensin should be initiated as soon as the diagnosis is established. The efficiency of monensin treatment of individual animals exhibiting clinical signs of coccidiosis has not been established. Do not feed to lactating dairy cows or lactating goats.
